The BBC Good Food Show will be on at Glasgow’s SECC from the 21st – 23rd of October. It will feature special events such as the MasterChef Restaurant and the Winter Kitchen and will include many top chefs such as Antony Worrall Thompson, James Martin and the rather appropriately named Tom Kitchin. There will also be the opportunity to meet local producers who will be exhibiting their knowledge, passion and goods. An adult day ticket to the show costs 16.50, and under-16s go free. Many of the serviced apartments Glasgow has to offer are near the SECC, which is home to many of the most important conferences and exhibitions held in the city.

Glasgow is a foodie hot-spot in Scotland and the city centre hosts restaurants of every kind, from traditional Scottish cuisine to sizzling curries. In fact, the choice is so overwhelming that this news article aims to help visitors shed some light on their culinary options while travelling or staying in the serviced apartments Glasgow has to offer.

One of the best restaurants in Glasgow is Grill on the Corner – it would be a terrible mis-steak not to visit. Grill on the Corner was the first restaurant in Scotland to serve the legendary Japanese Kobe steak (which costs 50). Other dishes on the menu combine traditional or well-known dishes with unique, creative touches. Most of the food is freshly prepared on-site, and the home-cut chips are something else!

For a traditional Scottish culinary experience, The Sisters restaurant is a must. It’s a relatively small restaurant, run by, as you may have guessed, two sisters who charge small prices. The typical menu options include delights such as roast limerick ham, Gressingham duck breast, or west coast haddock with Islay scallops. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere where guests can take their time to enjoy their meal.

If neither of these options is hot enough for you, it is worth considering the Shish Mahal curry house, which was recommended by the Guardian’s travel section. The owner Ali Ahmed Aslam has a strong claim to being the original inventor of today’s much loved Tikka Masala.

However, if you feel like spending a night at home in one of the serviced apartments Glasgow has to offer, there are plenty of delicatessens and Indian groceries in the city centre, so you can shop for ingredients yourself and cook them in the kitchen or kitchenette. Furthermore, many of the serviced apartments Glasgow has to offer include an internet connection of some kind which allows you to find recipes online.

These are a few ideas of how to experience the real food culture of Glasgow while away on business, and the serviced apartments Glasgow has to offer are all within easy travelling distance of the restaurants mentioned.

When it comes to cuisine, staying in , serviced apartments Glasgow means that you are spoiled for choice! Specialist serviced apartments agency SilverDoor can provide you with properties throughout Scotland and the rest of the world.

Caffeine is a great way to start your day and to get a boost of energy. However over time we can become dependent on it to feel good, and can start getting withdrawal symptoms when taken off of it. It can also cause shaking, nervousness, paranoia, racing thoughts and headaches along with other symptoms that can sometimes make it unpleasant. If we’re too hyped up on caffeine then it can prevent us from getting a good night’s sleep when we go to bed. Caffeine is a stimulant much like the steroid ‘speed’ and can cause many of the same problems if taken in large doses.

For this reason it’s not good to drink too much caffeine, and if you feel as though you’re becoming dependent then you should probably try and kick the habit. So how do you go about kicking the caffeine habit? Well slowly stopping your intake of tea, buying leaf tea online and stopping other products with caffeine in. Here’s a little more detail.

Firstly, take it in small steps. If you go completely cold turkey then you’ll just get a bad headache. Fortunately it doesn’t take long to wean yourself off of caffeine – perhaps a couple of weeks, but the best way to cut down on this is to have just a mug every few hours to begin with then slowly reduce this number to 0 by the third week. This way you won’t get withdrawal symptoms.

Next you need something to replace your tea or coffee – as a large part of the addiction is psychological. The thing is that tea and coffee is warming and feels a bit like hug in that you can relax with one. As such we need something to replace that that’s equally warm, as much of an event and just as sociable for enjoying with friends. Decaf options are unfortunately not always the best ideas as these often contain a lot of chemicals.

The best options then are leaf teas. These can be just as refreshing as tea or coffee and just as tasty. They come in a variety of flavours – from fruit teas to mint teas. A lot of the enjoyment of tea comes simply from having something warm to drink with you which is at once calming and relaxing. A leaf tea then can deliver on that without the need for caffeine – which actually makes it more relaxing (and great just before bed) as it’s not a stimulant that will wake you up more. Buying leaf tea online is a cheap and easy way to get your caffeine replacement.

Furthermore, the different types of leaf tea have other great health advantages. Green tea for example is known to combat cholesterol which can have all sorts of benefits including preventing heart disease and stroke. Lemon flavoured teas meanwhile are known to boost the immune system, while mint flavoured ones can help clear the mind and refresh the drinker (giving it a similar albeit more natural effect to ‘regular’ tea).

Remember caffeine is in other products too. Notably many fizzy soft drinks such as coca-cola and particularly those that are supposed to provide an energy boost such as Red Bull. These too must be avoided then if you’re trying to cut out the caffeine. Technically caffeine is in chocolate too but in very small quantities so you can let yourself off on this one…

There are more and more loose leaf tea available these days, with or without caffeine. Due to the variety it is often more convenient to buy tea online because it is difficult for physical stores to stock as many varieties.

Seeking for an Olive Garden Coupon isn’t that hard as you would imagine, you just need to know where to look and the right keyword phrase to use.

Finding restaurant coupons isn’t all that hard. Everyone knows you can look in the newspaper, perhaps the mail. Another good source that sometimes goes unnoticed is EBay.

The first step in finding bargains is knowing how to search for the many different types of coupons or gift cards available. The other thing to consider is how much you are willing to pay. Some coupons on EBay are actually gift cards. So to save money, you need to buy them at a discount.

When using EBay, the way you do the search will generate far different results. For example: typing Olive Garden Coupons, will generate a result of all items with all three words in any order. Type it in quotes as: “Olive Garden Coupons” then you will only get listings with the phrase exactly as you typed it. If you are seeing more results than you expected, you can filter the search by bid amount or category, etc. There are several advanced search commands available to narrow your search down to what you’re looking for.

The second part of the search is a little tougher, everyone has a price that they are willing to pay. I find the key for me is deciding my top price before I start bidding. If you are bidding on coupons, consider how much your saving, along with how hard it is to find a particular coupon. If you are bidding on gift cards the math is easier to do, consider how reputable the seller is along with how much cash value the gift card has. Just don’t let yourself get caught up in a bidding war, which could lead to paying more than you should have. Good Luck.

J Cox runs several websites designed to locate coupons and bargains of all types. A good example is http://www.coupon-restaurant.com/ for a good source of coupons.
