As the Isle of Wight is a very popular place among holidaymakers it goes without saying that it has a great variety of interesting and amusing attractions. Moreover all these island`s amenities are available all year round. Nevertheless the most popular period when people are just flocking to the IOW is summer time. Thus, this very phenomenon makes Isle`s paradisiacal beaches one of the main attractions on the island. A holidaymaker can hardly imagine his or her summer pastime without basking in the sun or bathing and splashing about in warm waters of the sea. Fortunately planning to go to the IOW on your holidays you are taking all chances to be provided with everything you need in order to have a fantastically wonderful time.

A wonderful selection of beaches

If you are not very fussy you can choose any beach on the island and will be happy playing in the sand and listening to the sea lapping against the rocks since all of them are clean, pleasant and prepossessing. However if you want something out-of-this-world it is better to go to the most popular beaches on the Isle of Wight. These are the Sandown, Shanklin beaches and the one offered by the area of Ventnor. Let us take a close look at each of them and find a few features that make them unique and different from each other.

The Sandown beach

Though all three beaches are of high standards the Sandown beach is considered to be the most popular among families for the simple reason – it has plenty things to see to do and to experience. It is even impossible to highlight all the attractions that are on offer for the delectation of visitors. This large and gorgeously attractive sand spaciousness will charm you enticing from your comfy Isle of wight hotels. It is for its perfectness and high standards the Sandown beach received a Blue Flag Beach Award in 2009. The pier is sure to have everything one`s heart could only desire: bars, fast food outlets, restaurants, cafes, various entertainments including the crazy golf and mini fairground.

The Shanklin beach

Those people who don`t like crowded places and prefer a bit more secluded beaches will appreciate the Shanklin one. It is less popular however this beach had the most recent award in 2009 and it is that of the Marine Conservation Society Good Beach Guide. The area has all the needed facilities and amenities of a holiday life: cafes, restaurants, pubs, a small crazy golf and a little pitch and putt. The place also can offer a range of amusements and attractions which will keep the children busy having a wonderful time.

The beach of Ventnor

The third rewarded beach is that of the area of Ventnor. In 2009 it was also recommended by the Marine Conservation Society Good Beach Guide. This beach will suit everybody except those who are fond of some water sport activities. Because of the hidden rocks in the local area this place is not very appropriate for a few water sports. One can try there fresh Ventnor crab and lobster and spend a splendid time away from noisy amusements and attractions that two previous beaches of the Isle of Wight offer.

A small seaside village called Shanklin has something that attracts many tourists and holidaymakers every year. This modest and sequestered spot lies in the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight. Though being of a small dimension this place is well known owing to its traditional old thatched cottages, two large clean beaches and outstanding scenery. People especially come to that place to contemplate the beauty of the deep, narrow ravine known as Shanklin Chine. This geological feature of the place is very magnificent indeed. With small houses on the top of it, grandiose cascades of crystal-clear water falling from the height of 280 feet, lush vegetation and laid-out nature traces this area seems to be the most enigmatic place in the world.

History and culture

Here you can also find some historical and cultural heritage of the Island such as the Royal Marine Commandos Memorial and Shanklin Theatre that is on the High Street. This street together with Regent Street is also considered to be the main shopping centre in this part of the Isle of Wight. Two big supermarkets located there are important not only for tourists but for the local people as well. Besides this there are many minor shops distributed throughout the area such as newsagents, bakeries, clothing and sports shops, arts and craft shops.

Traditional seaside attractions

It would be interesting to know that all the place of the Chine includes about three acres and the surface of this area varies to a considerable degree, there are 105 feet from its highest point to the level of the sea. In spite of the fact that Shanklin is a small old village it is well illuminated with electricity at night especially during the summer period. This time the gorge turns into a wonderful Fairyland. A great number of lights are sparkling everywhere highlighting Guest house isle of wight, restaurants, bars and coffee houses that are mostly located on an open area next to the sea.

A nice stroll along the sea front will give you a special feeling of satisfaction or inspiration. The area of Shanklin also can provide you with its garden and gift shop. The Tea Rooms, where one can take refreshments, are located at the lower place of the Chine. Also it is important to mention that the esplanade located above Hope Beach is proud of its amenities such as a crazy golf course, a sailing club and a children’s play area equipped with every device a child could only desire: slides, swings, ball pools and bouncy castles. Such a children`s play area can entertain and amuse your kids for hours.

If you are looking for a more romantic atmosphere you can stop at an anciently looking cottage with a roof made of straw or reeds. The cliff of Shanklin will amaze you to learn an interesting fact, to be more precise you will be able to hear the buzzing of wasps in the tiny holes in the face of it. Thus, this unusual natural phenomenon beckons almost every visitor of the place. As you can see, if taken all round Shanklin is a wonderful plays on the Isle of Wight to spend summer vacations.

Very soon the cold winter will be over and spring will be knocking on your door. Spring is the time [ … ]

Very soon the cold winter will be over and spring will be knocking on your door. Spring is the time for travelling, for thinking about where to go on your vacations. Have you for example decided where you would like to go yet? What have you considered this year, decisions have to be made? For instance, diving holidays can be an exciting adventure.

So if this is something you would like to try then first we will need for you to get the destination sorted one that it is done it will be it high time to start preparations for diving holidays of a lifetime. In reality the preparation can be as exciting as the holiday itself, there is for example a big list of necessary things you have to consider, do and take with you. Let`s examine these simple steps, so that you can prepare and dream of the adventure to come. First of all, make all the needed reservations, book the hotel, flight tickets and any transfer or car hire, and also make the necessary scuba diving reservations.

If you are thinking about going to some of the most popular diving resorts like Egypt, Hawaii, UAE or somewhere else, remember to pack your diving certificate. If you do not have any, you can often take a diving course within the resort. Mind that this course takes time and some days, so remembering your certificate will make for a more enjoyable holiday.

Diving is great fun but needs plenty of time to get the best from your holiday, so it’s always better to book as long a trip as you dare, thus you can then rest, bathe, get a good tan as well as have super fun with planned scuba diving. There are a great number of popular diving resorts. Select one and start planning your voyage. In addition to training certificate, you had better remember the other crucial things you may need. Think about these in advance and do not forget at home to pack all documentation, your passport, flight tickets, medical insurance, plus an emergency piece of “plastic” just in case your wallet or purse gets lost. This will help you greatly and you can escape any misunderstandings and any unpleasant situations during your trip, with all the necessary planning in place.

As we have already suggested If you do not have a diving certificate, you are free to address a diving service in the hotel or resort. Just ask the administration and they can provide you with the all information and instructors.

When you are a more serious adventurer you will have all your own equipment and the check list expands to cover things like a suitable scuba costume or wetsuit, breathing apparatus, flippers, a knife and camera if you want to take photos under water. However, do not worry; all of these are available for rent at the diving centre. If you have in the past been diving but feel that you have forgotten some skills, then you can simply take a refresher course. If you want to raise your level of diving abilities, it is also possible to do whilst you are at many of the resorts, all levels at your disposal. Any diving course you take will allow you to venture further and enjoy scuba diving and have fun exploring the beautiful marine world.

For beginners: When you have been trained enough in a pool and ready to get into open waters, you will be first guided by the diving with instructor. But, please, follow do remember to follow all the rules prescribed whether you are beginner or an advanced diver. We wish you a nice scuba vacation and exciting adventure. Have a good diving holidays!

Those who have their Australian travel visas would definitely want to see some of the best places in the country. [ … ]

Those who have their Australian travel visas would definitely want to see some of the best places in the country. However, if you are tired of the usual tourist destinations, then you might want to go out and look for more interesting sights to see. And since this is Australia you are talking about, you can expect plenty of unusual things to discover on your travels.

One of the first places that you would want to go to when looking for unusual attractions is the Cohuna Koala Park in Perth, Western Australia. The park is home to a large number of koalas. What makes a trip here more interesting is that you can get your picture with many of the park’s resident koalas. This will definitely be a good souvenir to keep.

Sydney also has its own share of unusual attractions. One place you can go to for this one is the Sydney Harbor Bridge. What’s so unusual about a bridge, you might ask. Well, try climbing on top of the bridge and you will definitely find out. The Bridge Climb is, in fact, one of the most popular attractions for those seeking some adventures in the city.

Another unusual sight to see is Uluru in the Northern Territory. This huge slab of rock is interesting to see, even from afar, as you get to witness it change color as the day goes by. Up close, you will also find plenty of interesting features, like settlement areas made by the Aboriginal people. And the local people themselves will guide you in touring the more unusual features of the rock.

The Dingo Fence, the worlds longest fence, is also a must see sight in Australia. Though not really a designated tourist destination by the Australian government, it is still visited by many people who marvel at the sheer size of the thing. The fence stretches for more than 5,000 kilometers enclosing the southeastern part of the country and was built to prevent dingoes (Australian wild dogs) from entering the agricultural lands in the area. One interesting thing to note is that there are more kangaroos in the area enclosed by the fence than outside.

And since we’re on the topic of big things here, your tour of Australia will not be complete without hunting for Australia’s Big Things. These are a collection of large statues scattered across the country. These range from simply large replicas of objects and animals, to the weirder ones, like a kangaroo holding a soda can (previous a beer can, until the people changed it) in Border Village, Western Australia. There are countless of these Big Things in the country and more are actually being added each year.

As you can see, these are just a sample of the many interesting things that you will be able to see in Australia. And there are still plenty of other attractions just waiting for you to discover. So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and head for Australia today. You will definitely have a great adventure here.

For many retirees, being able to spend their last years in a good way is a must. And for those bent on immigration, Australia has become a popular destination in recent years. Indeed, there are many opportunities awaiting foreign retirees in the country.

And one of the best opportunities available for those finally leaving the corporate world is putting up a business in Australia. This can be done by applying for an Investor retirement visa, also known as the Subclass 405 visa. This visa allows you move in to Australia after retirement and set up a long term investment in the country. Note that this is different from a retirement visa in that the investor retirement visa allows the holder to work during his stay in the country.

To avail of the visa, the applicant must be at least 55 years old during the time of the application. He must also be able to support himself independently through sufficient funds. He must also be sponsored by the particular state that he wishes to live in.

In order to get sponsored by the state, you need to apply for it. The application form for state sponsorship for retirees is available at the Department of immigration and Citizenship’s website. The state representative will then return the form back to you upon approval. This you would then submit along with the rest of your application documents.

Note that you also need to make a designated investment in order to get your visa released. The Treasury Corporation of the particular state you are going to will provide you the details regarding the eligible investments that you can make, as well as the expected returns. Note that in order to make an investment, you need to have at least AU$ 750,000 worth of funds. For those planning to move in to regional Australia, you only need AU$ 500,000 as minimum funds. You also need to present evidence of a steady income of no less than AU$ 65,000 a year, coming from pensions and other sources.

The only relative that you can bring to Australia is your partner or spouse (of any age).also note that both of you must have no more dependents during the time that you apply for a visa. Your spouse also need to be self supporting. Also, you both need to get a comprehensive health insurance plan that covers everything.

Once you get your visa, you will be able to enter the country anytime you want and stay up to four years. You are also allowed to work for at the most 20 hours per week. You are also allowed to apply for subsequent investor retirement visas after its expiration, as long as you meet the requirements.
